UX/UI Design

  • THE WHY (The User Need)

  • Racing game players require split-second decision-making. The core challenge was to provide critical telemetry—speed, engine heat, and track position—without distracting from the high-speed action on screen. Players also needed a seamless, "grease-monkey" inspired garage experience to customize vehicles without getting lost in complex menus.
     

  • THE WHAT (The Solution)

  • A high-fidelity UI system featuring a minimalist HUD (Heads-Up Display) and a modular Garage UX. The solution included custom-built iconography, interactive tuning menus, and a dynamic "Flow State" HUD that scales its visual intensity based on the player’s speed.
     

  • THE HOW (The Process)

  • I bridged the gap between aesthetics and functionality by:

  • Asset Creation: Designing custom vector gauges and 2D components that maintain clarity at 4K resolutions.

  • Interaction Design: Developing a "low-friction" navigation system optimized for both controllers and touchscreens, ensuring players spend less time in menus and more time on the track.

  • IMPACT  Designed and delivered the complete UI/UX system for a shipped commercial racing game — including HUD, Garage, and menu flows — optimized for  controller and touchscreen. The game was successfully launched and distributed on WEB.
